Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Senator-Elect for the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, received accolades and honours from the Graduate Students Association (GRASA) of the University of Uyo.
The accolades and honours came during the 2023 Sensitization/Conference, themed “Redefining Research Methodology Through Technological Advancement,” organized by GRASA at the Onyema Ugochukwu Hall, University of Uyo, on Wednesday.
The honours were in recognition his numerous contributions towards scholarship advancement, human capacity development and sustainable economic empowerment through his pet project, the RHAB-YESS Foundation.
Rt. Hon. Bassey, who was represented by his Assistant on Media and Communications/Programme Manager of RHAB-YESS, Mr. Darlington Udobong, thanked the Edidiong Archibong-led executive of GRASA for the honour done him and his foundation.
He said “It is very encouraging to know that our little effort, support, contribution and service to humanity through our foundation are recognized.”
The Speaker further said the kind gesture of GRASA has turbocharged him to do more and continually complement Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Enterprise Development Drive, youth development and empowerment.
