UDOM’S ‘VICTORY STRATEGISTS’ REGROUP FOR 2019

Political chieftains in Akwa Ibom State under the aegis of U62+, on June 27, 2017, rose from a well-attended Congress of the organization with a unanimous declaration of commencement of a strategic mass action across the 329 wards towards the 2019 re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel for a 2nd term in office as Governor to complete the eight-year tenure of Eket Senatorial District.

The group, made up of seasoned grass root political mobilizers across the 329 wards& 31 LGAs of the state, under the coordination of two renowned political gladiators per LGA, confirmed through a statement issued by its leadership, ably coordinated by Hon. Umo Amadu, that all is now set for local govt tours/sensitization of voters to ensure total victory for Udom come 2019.

The chieftains of the U62+ maintained that “one good turn deserves another”, and that Eket Senatorial District had in time past supported Uyo and Ikot Ekpene Senatorial Districts to serve their respective eight years term, adding that, aside Udom’s overwhelming/ superlative performance in just 2years as Governor, the principles of equity, justice and good conscience demands that Governor Udom must serve a second term in office.

In a motion moved by a pioneer member of the Leadership of the body, Hon. Barr. Mfon Udeme, a former Chairman of Ibiono Ibom LGA and seconded by Hon. Unyime Ekanem of Etim Ekpo LGA, the body  unanimously adopted Governor Udom Emmanuel as its sole candidate for office of Governor of Akwa Ibom State come 2019.

Already, modalities have been put in place for the organization of ‘Mother of All Rallies’ across the state to drum up support for the Governor. It would  be recalled that the U62+ was the 1st ever political organization in the state to begin strategic mobilization for Udom in 2014 which culminated in the popular ‘YOUTH COVERGE  for UDOM RESIGN & CONTEST DECLARATION’ that eventually got His Excellency, Udom, to resign as SSG to contest the 2015 governorship election.

Meanwhile, The U62+  in an earth shaking prayer/fasting session anchored by Pastor leo Umana, a member of the Akwa Ibom State Board of Internal Revenue Service, handed over the commencement of their political activities into God’s hands.
