It is disheartening that we may have to engage Ekon’s boys’ for second time in one week, because they haven’t learnt their lessons, or they have refused to learn.
The National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, seems to be their albatross. He has turned to Ekon’s noonmare and nightmare. It was for Ekon to show his little political strength, that he defected to the All Progressives Congress(APC), when his insatiable and selfish third term agenda could not be tolerated in the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ekon cannot decide what happens in Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency. There were leaders in the Federal Constituency before Ekon was sent to the green chambers. People make leaders, leaders don’t make themselves. If the very people you seek to lead says no to your inordinate ambition, why not go home and enjoy what you have gotten from the office than go round, crying like a child whose mother has denied him breast milk?
In their futile attempts, they have tried to misconstrue and drag the revered name of Barrister Enoidem to their level, a name that has fed them, their cronies and their families. A name that has opened doors for them. A legal and political colossus, is the meaning of Enoidem. This man is their greatest fear and threat.
The Ekons’ sleep, wake, sing and drink Enoidem’s name. But the more they try, the higher Barrister Enoidem keeps excelling, and towering higher.
There is no politician in Abak Federal Constituency that is near committed to education, yesterday, today and tomorrow, more than Emmanuel Enoidem. These are known facts the Ekons’ of this world continue to shy away from.
Barrister Enoidem had said that Emman Ekon makes money and enriches himself for every so called training he organizes from the oil majors and he should stop lying to himself about youth empowerment, when all the alleged trainings don’t bring to the people any meaningful benefits. That empowerments could be in terms of vehicles, which could help the youths to use them and help themselves.
Emman Ekon and his surrogates went to town to discredit the statement, while trying hard to score political points, which they never got.
There is no point to panic, Emman Ekon knows that February 16, 2019 is by the corner. The day his lies will expire. The day his name will politically expire. We can understand his biases in trying to use Enoidem’s name to be politically relevant.
We all know the betrayal Emman Ekon is, but we won’t continue to watch him desecrate the name that brought him from extreme poverty to wealth.
On a final note, we also know that Enoidem is a good man, so, If the name Emmanuel Enoidem keeps providing food to Ekon and his helpless cronies, let them continue to use it legitimately, after all, there is hardly any of them who has not benefited from the large heart of Enoidem.
