Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno on Saturday, attended the wedding of Victor Ekpo, son of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources(Gas), Hon Ekperikpe Ekpo, and his bride, Olayemi at the Catholic Church of ArchAngels, Gaduwa, Abuja.

The Governor who was a Special Guest of Honour at the event was in attendance along with a delegation from the State and those who joined him including Senator Effiong Bob, Senator Emmanuel Ibok-Essien, the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, Chairman, Maintain Peace Movement, Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN, Media Consultant to the Governor, Hon Aniekan Umanah Deputy Speaker, and Deputy Leader, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon Kufre Edidem, Hon Otobong Bob respectfully.

Others are Managing Director, Hensek Integrated Services, Engr Uwem Okoko, Hon Patrick Ifon, and Hon Francis Uduyok.

Speaking at the Church Service, Governor Eno admonished the couples to always be dedicated and committed to the vows they exchange and work together to ensure a blissful union.

He urged the newly wedded to live in peace, harmony mutual respect, and the fear of God.

Governor Eno appreciated the Parents of the bride and groom for raising their children well and witnessing their day of marriage.

He particularly appreciated the Hon Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas)for his friendship and brotherhood and assured he would work together with him to attract development to the State in the gas sub-sector.

The church wedding was followed by a reception ceremony, chaired by the Chairman Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, at the Rainbow Event Centre, Abuja.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio who was the father of the day at the reception advised the new couple to approach their union from a philosophical point of view, to overcome the challenges of life.

He told the couple: “Marriage is not a bed of roses. You will have challenges even from time to time and also resolve them within yourselves”

The event was attended by Business Mogul, Aluko Dangote, top Federal Lawmakers, Ministers, and Oil Industry bigwigs amongst others.
