PEACOCK PAINTS, OTHERS TO PATRONIZE AKEES PLASTIC FACTORY

By Happiness NKAN

Governor Udom Emmanuel has charged Peacock Paints Ltd and all agro based factories in the State to get all their packaging materials from AKEES Plastic factory.

The order was given last week during the commissioning of AKEES Plastic Manufacturing factory and Mini- Industrial Park situated at Itam, ITU Local government area.

The Industrialization driver assured that the ITU industrial park, which is the first in the State, was just the beginning of many of such planned across the State.

The directive by the State Governor cements the already existing relationship between AKEES PLASTIC FACTORY and PEACOCK PAINTS LTD developed a week earlier prior to the commissioning, when the Board Chairman of Peacock Paints Ltd, Engr Billy Etuk said that henceforth all buckets needed for paint production will be  ordered from AKEES Plastic factory.

Already there is a standing order for 2000 buckets from the Peacock Paints  Ltd.

Speaking earlier, during the commissioning, Elder Ufot Ebong, the Coordinator of AKEES; revealed that in addition to the 550 tons injection machine in the Plastic factory, plans are underway to introduce the production of polythene bags.

The Mini- Industrial Park houses a standard Showroom, a Pencil Factory, an automated Plastic factory, a Toothpick factory, a Composite factory, a Bamboo Pulp and an Artisan Training Center.
