Youths of Use Ndon in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have been charged to always toe the path of peace and make unity their watchword so as to fast-track the sustainable development of the area.
Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Youth Matters, Comrade Aniefiok Iwaudofia, gave the charge when the leadership of Nka Mkparawa Use Ndon, a socio-political group, visited him in his office in Uyo.
Comrade Iwaudofia stressed the need for the youth to embrace unity, as according to him, without unity, there cannot be any meaningful development.
While assuring the youth of his resolved commitment to their welfare, progress and development of the area, the Special Assistant thanked the leadership of the body for the confidence repose on him and for their show of love.
He urged them to continually pray for the Governor and promised to ensure that every Akwa Ibom youth, particularly members of Nka Mkparawa Use Ndon, fit in and also benefit from the policy thrust of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration.
Speaking earlier, President of Nka Mkparawa Use Ndon, Pastor Ezekiel Usungurua-Udofia, expressed appreciation to Comrade Iwaudofia for the audience granted them and also thanked Governor Emmanuel for appointing their brother to serve as Special Assistant on Youth Matters.
Pastor Usungurua-Udofia, who lavished the Special Assistant with several gift items, said the Governor’s unparallel benevolence to the people of Ibiono Ibom has brought joy, stirred up steadfastness and loyalty to his administration and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
Highpoint of the visit included presentation of gifts and a special prayer session for Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Special Assistant.
