UFOT EBONG SLAMS JOURNALISTS

Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Technical Matters and Due Process, Elder Uffot Ebong, may sooner than later apologize to some top media practitioners in Uyo, the state capital, as they have sworn to ignore him and all his public functions, for daring to publicly embarrassing them at the Governor’s Office Annex, during the “Bread Sensitization Seminar” organized recently by Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Trade and Market Matters.
According to reports, Elder Ebong, who doubled as Chairman of the occasion, when approached by journalists for comments, embarrassed and humiliated them publicly as he queried over bad reportage of the ‘AKEES Press Briefing’ held recently in Uyo, which he was one of the personality.
“You people reported nonsense. Is that what i said? Why did you people put words in my mouth? Get away from here,” the Governor’s aide was quoted.
Accordingly, the situation, which nearly snowballed into exchange of words between the Governor’s aide and the furious journalists, was quickly averted by yet another aide to the Governor on Media, Mr. Essien Ndueso, who surprisingly was said to be on the side of his political colleague, Elder Ebong.
However, the affected journalists have vowed to distance themselves from all his (Elder Ebong) official outing until he apologize for his display of sentiment and rude comments.
