By Edifon ABASI-OBOT
The Bureau of Political/Legislative Affairs and Water Resources will officially flag-off the “Sign On for Udom” programme, tomorrow, July 3, 2018 at the Bureau premises, 49 Edet Akpan Avenue by midday.
The Special Adviser in charge of the Bureau, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Ekong Sampson, made this known during an interaction with newsmen in his office.
According to Ekong Sampson, Governor Udom Emmanuel enjoys a very solid and robust support base in Akwa Ibom State.
Barrister Sampson explained that the governor’s achievement in the past three years have earned him the respect of Nigerians and his people, hence the Governor’s increasing support base across the various segments of the State.
The Bureau boss said that the Sign On for Udom programme is an initiative of the Political Affairs Bureau to provide a platform for stakeholders in the Akwa Ibom polity and indeed lovers of good governance in the State to concretize their support for the Udom Emmanuel-led administration.
Barrister Ekong Sampson said Governor Emmanuel has brought vision and innovation to bear in governance.
He lauded the governor’s achievements in the areas of industrialization, jobs creation, political inclusion, youth and sports development, balance spread of infrastructure and opportunities, as well as social welfare for widows and less privileged.
The Special Adviser said the Sign On programme is, by implication, asserting support for the continuity of Governor Emmanuel in office and consolidating the vision and innovation of his government.
