AKAN OKON RESTATES SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR EMMANUEL’S COMPLETION AGENDA

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport, Mr Akan Okon, has said he will continue to support Governor Udom Emmanuel, with a view of accomplishing his completion agenda for the state.

Speaking with newsmen in Uyo, Thursday, the Commissioner said he will continue to work with the Governor and his entire team, to better the economic fortunes of Akwa Ibom people.

He described his retainment in the Ministry of Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport as another opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the state.

“Few days ago, our dear Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel re-adjusted the State Executive Council, retaining yours truly, in the Ministry of Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport.”

“For me, my retainment in the Ministry of Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport is another opportunity to continually contribute my quota to the development of our dear state.”

” I’ll work together with the Governor and his entire team, to better the economic fortunes of our great State, especially, given the times we’re in”, he said.

Okon described the Ibom Deep Seaport project as one of the major tasks before the government and expressed optimism that with the continued support of Akwa Ibom people, the project would have been completed before the tenure of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

“As I urge us all not to relent efforts in supporting the Governor and the PDP-led administration, let me specially thank His Excellency, for the confidence reposed in me, pledging as always, that I remain absolutely resolute in working with him, to consolidate on the gains of the current administration, under the completion agenda”, he said.
