…As Ubokutom Abasi Visits West Itam Zone

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the people of Itu Local Government Area have reaffirmed their resolve to vote for the Member representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Henry Archibong for a second term in office. The assurance was given on Saturday when Ubok Utom Abasi Campaign organization toured west Itam geo-political zone of the Local Government Area.
At QIC Primary School Nung Ukot Itam; where the people of West Itam II Ward 9 gathered to receive the lawmaker and his campaign train. The political leader of the Ward 9, Barr. Raphael Etim said due to Dr. Archibong’s sterling perfomances within and outside the green chambers, the people are poised to re-elected him for a second term in office. He also lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel’s industrial revolution and called on the people to vote for all candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to ensure a seamless and collaborative developmental drive.
The PDP Chairman in the ward, Mr. Emmanuel Tom, the Women Leader, Mrs. Angela Dominus, Senior Special Assistant to the Local Government Chairman on Youth Mobilization, Mr. Akan Sylvester and Mr. Sunny Uyire all spoke glowingly of Dr. Archibong’s candidature and declared total support for him and other candidates of the Party.
In his remarks the political leader of Ward 8 Hon. Dr. Monday Akpakpan while addressing the crowd at UPE Primary School, declared that the PDP candidates would floor their opponents in this year’s elections. Also speaking, the Councillor representing the ward, Hon. Otobong Ekong said they will vote for Henry Archibong, describing the federal lawmaker as an accessible and listening representative and leader.
At Community Secondary School Ibiaku Itam, where the people of Ward 10 converged for a similar event, the leader of the ward, Barr. Godwin Awa who described the Mbak Obio Itam born medical practitioner as one who strives to touch his people’s lives also lauded his efforts towards human and capacity development. He noted that the people have no other choice but to reciprocate his laudable gestures by reelecting him.
Others who declared support for him and the PDP candidates include the Councillor representing Ward 10, Hon. Inibehe Nyong, PDP Chapter Women Leader, Evang. Mrs Inemesit Maxwell, Ward Chairman; Mr. EnwonoAbasi Dennis, and SA to Governor Udom on Project Monitoring, Hon. Akaninyene Essien.
Meanwhile, Hon. Dr Henry Archibong has called on the people of Itu Local Government Area to continue supporting the Governor Udom Emmanuel led PDP administration in the state, vote him (Udom) for a second term as well other candidates of the Party. He also reiterated his desire to embark on more life touching ventures when re-elected.
