SUPERSPORT HOLDS LET’S PLAY AKWA IBOM

The second edition of the SuperSport Holds Let’s Play held in Mkpatak, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State at the weekend with over 200 children aged between eight and 13 taking part.

The pupils were taught the importance of regularly engaging in sporting activities while getting educated.

Felix Awogu, General Manager, SuperSport West Africa, said SuperSport believes in physical development programmes that would prepare young African children for the future.

“We are pleased with the turnout for the training sessions. The level of interest and enthusiasm displayed by the kids showed that we have been able to connect with them today,” he said.

He further said that the Let’s Play Initiative has now been activated in over one thousand schools across Nigeria with three different sports; Rugby, Cricket and Football. He said the initiative would be activated in more schools across the country.
