UDOM EMMAN
… For Interministerial Jobs In Guise of Doing Roads

Governor Udom Emmanuel has finally bowed to pressure from the political class by receiving approval for a N15billion loan from the State House of Assembly.
The new loan, one of several he has gotten approval from, is said to be for the completion of road projects and implementation of other programmes by his administration.
Sources close to the government, however, say the Governor went for the loan due to pressure by politicians, especially the leadership of the State House of Assembly and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to carry out Inter-Ministerial jobs. The jobs, the politicians believe, will give politicians who supported his election the “chance to put food on their empty tables.”
Politicians have been angry at the way the government has abandoned them after elections.
“Even after making his brother in-law to be in charge of inter-ministerial, nothing happened in the sector. And that is the only sector we politicians are compensated. Thank God the loan has been collected. We hope to be given jobs in the following days,” a politician said.
The Udom Emmanuel government has been under criticism for receiving approval for over five loans, totaling billions of Naira, even when it receives the best allocation from the Federal Account monthly.
