The Reformation Agenda, a socio-political and socio-cultural group that projects the interest of Esssien Udim, says Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State is on course with superior performance and sterling achievements recorded in the last 40 months of his administration.
Speaking through its Co-Ordinator, Comrade Martins Inyangetoh, the group made the assessment through polls conducted recently in the 31 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Co-Ordinator, who lauded Governor Emmanuel’s infrastructural and industrialization strides across the state, said his administration was “above board.”
He told journalists in Ikpe Annang during an on-the-spot inspection of the Uyo-Ikot Ekpene Road project that the Governor had been able to distinguish himself as one with clear cut vision, direction and agenda for Akwa Ibom.
Inyangetoh said, “Putting the bias apart, Deacon Udom Emmanuel is good, considering the massive infrastructure development across the state and investment in security; the government of Deacon Udom Emmanuel, which our great son, Prince Ukpong Akpabio, is part of as Honourable Commissioner in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Investment, cannot be rated low in people-oriented policies and programmes. The state Governor has become a role model to our people.”
“Deacon Udom Emmanuel has demonstrated that he knows the need of the people in terms of infrastructure, security, emergency, employment, credit facilities, power supply, transport, education, health and he has delivered. He has been able to manage the resources of the state well,” the group said.
The group further said, based on its tour of the state, government had not only succeeded in improving the state’s economy, but given hope to those at the grassroots.
According to the Co-Ordinator of the group, “Governor Udom Emmanuel has attracted huge investments to the state. We commend him for not concentrating on the metropolis alone in development strides. His achievements in the last 40 months are unparalleled. The Governor’s administration is on course.”
The group also said “Governor Udom Emmanuel has done very well and should be returned in 2019 for more transformation and giant strides in all facets. He has given residents of the state good governance.”
