UDOM TO INJECT FUNDS TO INTER-MINISTERIAL DIRECT LABOUR PROJECTS

… As Ufot Ebong’s Son Takes A Wife

State Government has concluded arrangement to inject funds for the implementation of Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Projects to speed up development and enliven the economic well-being of the State.
Governor Udom Emmanuel announced this at Ikot Ada Idem, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area where he attended the traditional marriage between Miss Rebecca Peters and Mr. Nduese Ebong, the son of Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Technical Matters/Due Process, Elder Ufot Ebong.
Governor Emmanuel said he has also directed the Ministry of Finance to commence the disbursement of small and medium scale enterprise funds to accommodate more beneficiaries particularly the Women.
He used the occasion to caution youths against indulgence in criminality and stated that his administration is determined to make the state a safe haven for development to thrive and warned that any person caught perpetuating violent crimes would be made to face the law.
The Governor called on parents and guardians to advise their wards to shun vices and explore ways of maximizing their potentiality for sustainability and congratulated the couple for finding themselves worthy to come together in marriage saying the institution, as ordained by God, is honourable.
Governor Emmanuel particularly commended the bride and groom’s parents for bringing up their children to become responsible persons and bequeathing them with necessary education and exposure which has defined their status in the society.
The Chairman on the occasion, Bishop Godwin Akpaniko, advised the couple to make God the foundation of their marriage and wished them a blissful marital life.

The traditional marriage ceremony, which attracted Political Stakeholders across the state, also had in attendance the State Deputy Governor, Mr. Mosses Ekpo, Members of the State Executive Council, State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obong Paul Ekpo, Forum of Personal Aides to the Governor, Women and Youth Groups.
