AKWA IBOM MARKS WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY

Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Aniefiok Iwaudofia, has initiated plans to mark the 2016 World Youth Skills Day tomorrow.
To commemoration the event in the state, the Special Assistant, through the Chairman of the Skill Development Centre Project Planning Committee, Pastor Godwin George, has said the event will hold at 174 Nsikak Edouk Avenue (ACA office) Uyo on Friday, 15th of July 2016 from 10am.
The theme of the event is Skill Development to Improve Youth Empowerment, expected will be resource persons for lecture, panel discussion and exhibitions.
Those expected at the event include the Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, Commissioner for Youth and Sports , Sir Monday Uko, and the entire youths of the state.

Skills development is a primary means of enabling young people to make a smooth transition to work. As such, the issue of unemployment is a major concern for both industrialized and developing countries.
