In its pursuit to continually discover, mentor and support young Akwa Ibom entrepreneurs to financial greatness and self-sustainability through capital financing/funding of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), skill empowerment of artisans and rural women, and educational support to indigent students, RHAB-YESS Foundation has put modalities in place to train over 500 youths in the state on digital skills.

The RHAB-YESS Foundation, an initiative of Senator Aniekan Bassey of the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, is bringing the digital skills training to youths of the state through partnership with ImpactHER, an African Union award-winning not-for-profit organization.

According to the Programme Manager, Mr. Darlington Udobong, the digital skills training, like every other programmes of RHAB-YESS Foundation, completely complements the Enterprise Development Drive of the Akwa Ibom State Government, as championed by Governor Umo Eno.

Explaining further, Mr. Udobong said “The fact that we are partnering with a ImpactHER, an organization that is in sync with our mission and vision makes what we are offering Akwa Ibom youths more outstanding. The goal of ImpactHER is to utilize its institutional investing experience to prepare best-in-class African female market leaders. The organization does that by training African female entrepreneurs on how to build scalable businesses and access institutional investors.”

He maintained that both NGOs believe that empowering the youths in digital skill and entrepreneurship is critical to building the African economy and spurring economic growth.

Some of the course that would be handled during the training include “Build Your Brand and Sell Online,” “Create Your Digital Marketing Plan,” “Social Media for Business,” “Get Set Up on Google My Business,” “Using Data and Strategies to Help Grow Your Business,” “Create Your Digital Marketing Strategy,” “Connect With Customers Using Google Ads,” and

“Implement Google Workspace Across Your Business.”

The digital skills training, which would simultaneously online (virtually) and on-site (physically), is completely free and interested trainees can register through: https://bit.ly/RHAB-YESS and also join the WhatsApp group via: https://chat.whatsapp.com/HCoCGluM8uJA0mmfHWEwjA
