As part of his commitment to youth development and education, Senator Aniekan Bassey (SAB) has launched a free JAMB/UTME registration exercise for prospective candidates across the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District.

The registration exercise was officially launched on Friday at the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District Secretariat, Osongoma, Uyo.

Championed through his pet project, the RHABYESS Foundation, Senator Bassey hinted that “the exercise is to alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians. The exercise will also inspire the young students to achieve their academic pursuits and aspirations.”

He emphasized the importance of education as a cornerstone for societal development and pledged his unwavering support for initiatives that promote academic excellence.

Speaking further, Senator Bassey said, “Through this exercise, we are investing in the future of our youth and providing them with an opportunity to access higher education. Our goal is to ensure that no child is left behind due to financial constraints.”

He explained that his brainchild, the RHABYESS Foundation, has been at the forefront of several empowerment programmes, focusing on education, skill acquisition, community development, and empowerment of young entrepreneurs and rural women.

Some of the prospective candidates who stormed the Secretariat for the free registration exercise expressed gratitude to the Senator, noting that he has given them hope and a chance to pursue their dreams.

The registration exercise will cover hundreds of candidates across the senatorial district and is expected to run for several weeks.

Interested students are advised to visit the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District Secretariat to complete the registration process seamlessly.
