PDP SET TO COMMENCE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CAMPAIGNS


In preparation for the forth coming local government elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, is set to commence her campaigns in the 329 wards and 31 local government areas of the state.

According to a media statement signed by the Publicity Secretary,Comrade Ini Ememobong, The State Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo notified that the flag off of the campaigns will hold at the Uyo township Stadium, on Thursday 2nd November, 2017 by 10 am. He stated that The National Chairman of the Party, H.E Senator Ahmed Makarfi and other members of the National Caretaker Committee are expected, as special guests at the event.

At the flag off, the Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates of the party will be presented and goodwill messages taken. Several music and entertainment acts will also be exhibited at the occasion.

The campaign train will thereafter move round all the 31 local government areas of the state, where the councillorship candidates will be presented.

Obong Ekpo invites all party members and the entire electorate to witness his history making occasion.
