OSUN POLL: PDP ON ITS WAY TO VICTORY IN 2019 – UKPONG-UDO

A leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives aspirant in  Ikono/INI Federal Constituency, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, has said the party was on its way to victory in the state and in 2019 with regards to the enthusiasm shown by Osun State people in Saturday’s Governorship election.

Reacting to the conduct of the Osun State Governorship election, Obong Ukpong-Udo, who spoke with newsmen in Uyo shortly after receipt of his Clearance Certificate at the State PDP Secretariat, said it was a positive sign that PDP will soon recover its lost glory, both in Osun State and at the Federal level in 2019.

The National Assembly aspirant congratulated the PDP Governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for the success of the party at the poll and also urged the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the security agencies to up the ante so as to inspire greater confidence in the voters and international communities.

Obong Ukpong-Udo further appealed to PDP faithful and supporters within and outside Osun State to remain resolute, dedicated and steadfast in their commitment to the party.

On his ambition to represent the people of Ikono/INI Federal Constituency, Obong Ukpong-Udo said this is borne out of his desire to improve the lives of the people of the area through live touching legislations, provision of social amenities, human capital development among others.

He said one of his cardinal plans is to ensure that the lowly placed persons in the Federal Constituency gets the best of quality education, adding that he “will ensure legislations that will improve the standard of public schools with good welfare packages for teachers in the area are made.”

Obong Ukpong-Udo said if elected, he will also make agriculture, youth development and affordable healthcare services his priority, maintaining that the people of Ikono/INI, through his effort, should have access to good medical facilities as obtainable in other parts of the world irrespective of their financial status.
