The stakeholders under the aegis of Special Caucus Committee who met with all the aspirants in the private residence of Right Honourable Onofiok Luke stressed that aspirants should go about their consultations without insulting or inciting others against other aspirants.

The committee which has Right Honourable Onofiok Luke as Chairman, Obong Essien Esema as Secretary, Otuekong Emman Ibiok, Architect Ime Ekpo, Mr Nsikan Johnny, Obong Nse abasi Akpaeno, and Engineer B.G. Bassey as members met with the seven aspirants on the 10th of February.

According to our source, the special caucus committee reiterated that the Elders of Nsit Ubium did not support any consensus arrangement for any aspirant and could not have done that since it is only the result of party primaries that shall determine the candidate of the party.

The special caucus committee which was set up to douse tension created as a result of the purported consensus of a particular aspirant enjoined the aspirants to inform their supporters that there was nothing like consensus in favour of any aspirant.
