NSIT-ATAI LAWMKER HAILS AKHA SPEAKER FOR QUALITY LEADERSHIP

The member representing Nsit-Atai in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Mark Esset, has hailed the Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke, for the high level of maturity and unity in the Sixth Assembly.

Speaking on the floor of the House during Tuesday plenary, shortly after the inauguration of 4 returning members of assembly, the Nsit Atai lawmaker who expressed satisfaction with the manner the Speaker is piloting affairs and the House, observed that unlike some other State Houses of Assembly were lawmakers fight dirty in full glare of camera, Akwa Ibom State was lucky to have Rt. Hon. Luke as head of the legislature.

Citing relevant sections of the House standing rules and order, the legislator a former council Chairman noted “Mr. Speaker has so far proven to Akwa Ibom and Nigeria that Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is a peaceful House”.
“I rise this morning with all amount of joy in my heart looking at you and remembering that some weeks ago you spoke as a prophet, and today as an ordained elder in the body of Christ, i can comfortably address you as a prophet.
When you did prophecy that the House of Assembly is both spiritually and physically 26 in number, and that makes you a prophet and people will confirm that you are a prophet when you prophesy and your prophecy comes to pass.
Mr. Speaker, today your prophecy have come to pass. I want to once again proof to this honourable members and Akwa Ibomites that the action taken last week in passing a vote of confidence on your leadership was not out of place.
Keep on Mr. Speaker, we are proud of you”.
“I think if we are to grade the most peaceful Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, Akwa Ibom will stand the number one in Nigeria”.
Reacting to the confidence vote passed last week by the House, the assembly man who spoke glowingly of Mr. Speaker’s leadership qualities, noted that Luke has brought stability to the House and thanked his colleagues for affirming their support to the House leadership.
Welcoming the 4 returning lawmakers back to the House, Hon Esset thanked the Speaker for successfully leading the campaign train from the assembly to their respective constituencies to canvass for their re-election, saying he was happy that the House of Assembly is now intact with 26 members.

Meanwhile, some youth groups in the state have applauded Hon. Esset for his contribution to the stability of the 6th assembly.

In chat news men shortly after Tuesday plenary, the President, Akwa Ibom Grassroot Movement (AK-GRAMOV), Comrade Edima Martins, who was at the Assembly Complex to witness the inauguration of the returning House members, commended the Nsit Atai lawmaker for publicly distancing himself from an alleged plot to unseat the Speaker.

It could be recalled that social media and some newspapers had carried stories claiming that Hon. Mark Esset was eyeing the Speakership seat. Reacting, AKGRAMOV in a statement in Uyo observed that the action of Hon. Esset during the debate on the motion moved by Itu member for passage of confidence vote on the Speaker, has proven his critics wrong.

Comrade Martins thanked the Nsit Atai representative for rallying support for Rt. Hon. Luke and the leadership of the House, and assured of the support the group at all times.

Also Speaking, the President, 3 for Ambassadors, Mr. Michael James, described Esset as a legislator blessed with great intellectual capacity, and described him as an asset to Nsit Atai.

The 3 for 1 boss who hails from Uyo local government area, noted that Nsit Atai has never had it so good in times past in the area of legislative representation in the House of Assembly, and expressed optimism at the ability of the current lawmaker to right the wrongs of the past.

Mr. James, who scored Hon. Esset high on legislative performance, urged him and other lawmakers to continue to rally support for Rt. Hon. Luke and the government of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
