Newly converted chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, while speaking on Channels Television on Sunday, admitted defeat at the polls, claiming “the results were mutilated to deprive him of his mandate.”

Not minding the shame occasioned by his loss, Senator said “Those responsible for my defeat, whether the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Akwa Ibom State or those he instructed, know the reality. The reality is that I am asking for justice. I am saying that INEC should be bold enough to do the right thing. I am disappointed that a state with so much followership as far as the party is concerned, the state that loves President Buhari so much was not allowed as a result of a conspiracy to bring out the votes.”

He, however, added that PDP would not have been able to defeat President Buhari even if he was still a member of PDP because Nigerians believe and want continuity.
