The top-notch Institute, in a statement signed by its Council Chairman, Professor John Ndanusa Akanya, said the Special Duties Commissioner admission and conferment of the Award was as “a result of your adherence to sound ethical standards and the innovations you have introduced particularly, as the Honourable Commissioner with the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Special Duties and your service at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly; transformational leadership with multi-cultural environment working experience; public good advocacy and empowerment programme implementation; Government special project handling; material and manpower management; strategic management and operations process improvement; Ministry’s policy and programme implementation and progress monitoring.”

“The decision was taken after a painstaking research on your academic and professional accomplishments and the understanding that you will continue to contribute to the improvement of service delivery at the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Special Duties,” the statement added.

The statement further stated that the decision to confer on Etteh with “this well deserving Fellowship Award was taken after extensive research on the performance of his contemporaries. We premised our criteria on several areas including human capital development, promotion of peace and security, as well as nearness to the grassroots people.”

Receiving the Award on behalf of the Special Duties Commissioner, Barrister Ette Etteh, said Rt. Hon. Etteh has been selfless in his service to humanity and has also laid a good foundation for others to build on.

He thanked the Institution for the honour done him and promised to do more in his service to humanity and Akwa Ibom State.
