EKPOATTAI RAISES ALARM OVER INTERNET FRAUD

the representing Eket Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mrs. Owoidighe Ekpoattai, has raised alarm over the ploy by mischief makers and fraudsters to duplicate a facebook in her name with the sole purpose of defrauding members of the public.
The National lawmaker, who made this known through a disclaimer, said “This is to inform the general public that the Rt Hon Owoidighe Ekpoattai, the member representing Eket, Onna, Esit Eket and Ibeno in the House of Representatives is not on Facebook ; therefore, a facebook profile in her name currently trending in the social media is fake, fraudulent and criminal.”
Mrs. Ekpoattai further appealed to members of the public, particularly the people of ONNA, Ibeno, Eket and Esit Eket, who may wish to relate with her on the internet to do that through ‘Ekpoattai Solidarity Group.’
In her words, “The public should note that the only social media forum in which her activities in the House of Representatives are being highlighted is EKPOATTAI SOLIDARITY GROUP. The general public and the Facebook community should please take note.”
