BPW RECEIVES NATIONAL PRESIDENT, SET TO INAUGURATE PIONEER EXCO

Ahead of tomorrow’s inauguration of pioneer executive of Business and Professional Women (BPW) Akwa Ibom State chapter, members of the association, today, received its National President Mrs. Yinka Ajimola at Victor Attah International Airport.

The association otherwise known as Uyo Eagles Club is set to inaugurate pioneer executive of the association on Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Edinan Hotel, Aka Etinan road, Uyo.

Receiving Mrs Ajibola, the State Coordinator of the Association, Mrs. Mary Ewa who will be inaugurated tomorrow as the Pioneer President of the Club, appreciated her for honoring the invitation of the club despite her tight schedule of activities.

Mrs. Ewa acknowledged the efforts of Mrs. Ajimola for the encouragement and support towards forming the club in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital.

She explained that the club came after the 2018 National Convention of the BPW in Uyo and a gala dinner organized by Her Excellency, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel for the National Representives of the Association in Uyo.

The Club Coordinator said that BPW is aimed at encouraging Akwa Ibom Women to key into businesses to generate private income rather than remaining as house wives in marital home.

She added that the club will also encourage women to pursue professional career and organize programmes and conferences where women will come together to chat a way forward in helping other women in the State.

She assured that the association is set for the inauguration of pioneer executive tomorrow,

Wednesday October 9 2019 at Edinan hotel, Aka Etinan road Opposite NTA Chanel 12, Uyo.

She however invited the general public to the event.

The National President of BPW, Mrs. Yinka Ajibola appreciated the women for the warm reception in the State. She thanked the women for being organized and lauded their zeal and passion to have a chapter of BPW in Akwa Ibom.

She appreciated his Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel for Ibom Air that ease transportation and assured the support of the chapter executive for the growth of the association.

Meanwhile, members of the club led by the State Coordinator Mrs. Mary Ewa took the National President of the Association, Mrs. Yinka Ajibola on a tour around key places in Uyo including Ibom International Airport.
