Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, today, flagged off the Fiber Optic BroadBased Infrastructure in Akwa Ibom State by Broad-based Communications Ltd in partnership with Akwa Ibom State Government, an Initiative of the Executive Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
The Secretary to the State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem who represented the Governor while enumerating the many benefits of the project said the Government is committed to ensuring more of such services are delivered to Akwa Ibom people adding that the project will enhance the industrialization revolution and economic growth of the State Government.
Speaking earlier, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Technical Matters and Due Process, Elder Ufot Ebong said that the project is poised at providing Ministries, Departments, Agencies of Government, Banks and the entire Akwa Ibom population with the most optimal telecommunications solution through the efficient deployment of world class metro distributive fiber optics and Broad Based Network solutions.
In attendance were the company representatives led by its Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Chidi Ibisi, Staff of the Bureau of Technical Matters and Due Process led by SSA on Technical Matters and Due Process, Elder Ufot Ebong, Members of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), a committee set up by the State government to facilitate the project, SA to Governor on Project monitoring, Mr. Elvis Ebong, SA on Social Reorientation, Mr. Ekpeno Gold and SA on Project, Aide on ICT Solomon Eyo, Mr. Godfada Uko among others.
