The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey has sympathised with the Member representing Itu State Constituency, Hon. KufreAbasi Edidem, over the demise of his Mother, Late Deaconess Ime Ikotidem.
In his condolence message, the Speaker described the deceased as a devoted Christian and a community leader who will be remembered for being an inspiration to her family and community.
“Your Late Mother provided guidance and inspiration to the family and all the people around her. I am really saddened by her demise”, he said.
He prayed God to comfort the deceased family and give them the grace to bear what he described as irreplaceable loss.
Aged 91, the Late Deaconess Ime Ikotidem was born into the royal family of Okon Etukudo Ibit of Mbribit Itam and was laid to rest, after a Funeral Service conducted by Believers Flourishing Ministry International at Community Secondary Commercial School, Itu LGA.
