A’IBOM AT 36: FIRST LADY SOLICITS SUPPORT FROM ALL SEGMENTS OF SOCIETY

… Assures Of A Better Akwa Ibom Under Governor Eno

As Akwa Ibom celebrates her 36th Anniversary of State creation, Wife of the Governor, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, has appealed to all Akwa Ibomites and residents to support her husband, Pastor Umo Eno to succeed in the discharge of his duties as the fifth democratically elected Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

Baring her thoughts recently on the State’s Anniversary, 36 years after creation by the then President Ibrahim Babangida, Pastor Patience Eno who noted the steady progress made by the previous democratically elected Governors, expressed confidence in Governor Umo Eno’s capacity to deliver on his campaign promises, describing him as a man of sincerity, commitment and passion for service.

She appealed to the Media Community in particular to support the Governor by projecting his activities and the implementation of the ARISE Agenda and utilising their position as the connection between Government and the people to bring  to the fore, the concerns and yearnings of Akwa Ibom people to guide Government in serving the people efficiently.

On her part, the First Lady said she was committed to engaging in activities that will benefit humanity under her soon-to-be-launched pet project which will focus on all facets of the society, assuring Akwa Ibom people that her primary role under the Golden Era of the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno is to provide support by reaching out to the vulnerable and less privileged.

She therefore wished the State a happy 36th Anniversary celebration, expressing optimism that the State will witness tremendous growth and advancement under the sterling leadership of Governor Umo Eno.
