35TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: PDP SPOKESPERSON DONATES BOOKS, SHOP TO YOUTHS


As part of his avowed effort to support and boost human capital development in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday donated a fully furnished ultra-modern Barber’s Shop to three youths of Use Ndon in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area and over 200 motivational books, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, to students of Community Secondary School, Ikot Usen, to commemorate his 35th birthday celebration, scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
Speaking during the Commissioning and Reading Sessions, the donor, Comrade Ememobong, expressed gratitude to God for his achievements, which, according to him, came as result of God’s favour and grace.
He acknowledged those that assisted him up the rungs, stating that he would ever remained grateful to them for allowing themselves to be used of God.
The Akwa Ibom PDP spokesperson maintained that the gesture to empower “is borne out of the zeal to support Governor Udom Emmanuel’s dream to create wealth through human capital and manpower development, to prepare the youths for a better tomorrow and to advance the state from a civil service state to an industrial hub.”
In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Technical Matters and Due Process, Elder Ufot Ebong, who commissioned the project described Comrade Ememobong’s gesture toward the people of the area as one that will help create wealth, encourage the youths to be self-reliance and self-sufficient.
Elder Ebong admonished the beneficiaries of Comrade Ememobong’s benevolence to make good use of the opportunity offered them and wield a better future for themselves.
