2023: EFCPA INAUGURATES IBENO CHAPTER EXCO

In furtherance of its campaign on equity, peace, justice, unity and the progress of Eket Federal Constituency, the National Leadership of a frontline socio-political organization, the Eket Federal Constituency People’s Assembly (EFCPA), has inaugurated the Ibeno Chapter to achieve its mandate.

The inauguration ceremony, which was attended by women, youths, sociopolitical groups and political stalwarts, took place on Friday at the Upenekang Youth Hall, Upenekang, Ibeno.

Performing the inauguration, the National President of EFCPA, Prince Akaninyene Ette-Udo, enjoined the Ibeno Chapter Executive to “work judiciously towards actualizing the purpose of EFCPA and the Ibeno project in 2023.”

He said EFCPA is dedicated and committed to the Completion Agenda and the Succession Plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel, stressing that the organization has unequivocally adopted Pastor Umo Eno and Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh as its sole candidates for Governorship and representative of Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in 2023.

Prince Ette-Udo further explained that the organization’s “decision to adopt Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh is primarily centered on his several years of legislative competence, charismatic leadership style as well as his genuine desire and commitment towards the development of the Federal Constituency and Akwa Ibom State.”

The newly inaugurated Ibeno Chapter has a former Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Mr. Edem Ebong (Coordinator); Mr. Eyo Elijah (Deputy Coordinator); Mr. Samuel Ichulo (Secretary) and Barr. Martins Asukpa (Director of Media and Publicity).

Others included Mrs. Martha Emmanuel (Assistant Secretary), Miss Esther Nnitor (Treasurer), Mr. Samuel Akpanika (Financial Secretary), Mrs. Lucy Eshiet Offiong (Women Leader), Hon. Patrick Usenekong (Director of Mobilization) and Mr. Friday Ebong (Director of Security), as well as 10 extra members drawn from the 10 Wards of Ibeno Local Government Area as Ward Coordinators.

In his remarks, the newly inaugurated Chapter Coordinator, Mr. Edem Ebong, expressed appreciation to the National Leadership for the honour done him and assured his executive’s undivided support and commitment towards the actualization of EFCPA agenda come 2023.

Other speakers at the event included the Ibeno Council Secretary, Mr. Johnson Ukalom; the immediate past Executive Chairaman of Ibeno Local Government Council, Hon. Sunday Isokobo; the National Vice President of EFCPA, Mr. John Cyril; Hon. Nseabasi Ibok; Hon. Hasson Hasson; Hon. Owoidighi Odiongitor; Hon. Ikpe Friday Ikpe; Mr. Willie Ukochio; Hon. Unwa Joseph, among others.

Present at the event, which was attended by over five hundred supporters of Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh across the Eket Federal Constituency, were the National Vice President of EFCPA, Mr. John Cyril; the National Secretary, Pastor Samuel Akwat, and a former Secretary of Esit Eket Local Government Council, Hon. Uyoata Uyoata.
