2019: AKAN OKON LAUDS UDOM OVER A’IBOM PDP WARD CONGRESS

Commissioner for Housing and Special Duties, Mr. Akan Okon, has commended Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the successful conduct of ward congresses across the 329 ward in the state.
Mr. Okon, a stakeholder of the PDP, said the success of the congress has further restored confidence in the party members and brought hope to the people of the state who are turbocharged for a landslide victory in 2019.
The Housing and Special Duties Commissioner made the remarks in Mbiatok Itam Ward-4, on Saturday, in response to the just concluded Ward congress and election of ad-hoc delegates by the party in the state.
He praised the team spirit in the party and the large crowd of followers at the Okon-Itam Primary School, venue of the congress.
Mr. Okon said, “The leadership of the party is made up of men and women of proven integrity, people who have laboured and served the party. Those we have elected today are same. We expect nothing but the best from them.”
He called on the people of the area to continue to rally behind the party to ensure Akwa Ibom remains PDP.
“The party, through our leader, Governor Udom Emmanuel, has improved infrastructure all over the state, improved power, created job opportunities and all these are there for everyone to see. So, in 2019, Akwa Ibom will maintain its path of glory, PDP,” he maintained.
