IGP VISITS AKWA IBOM, PROMOTES 13 OFFICERS

Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase,

????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????
has promoted 13 officers from Akwa Ibom State Command, as a reward for hard work and excellence.
Among them are Inspector Nicholas Enguru, who until his elevation, was a Sergeant at ‘A’ Department, Uyo and Corporal Onosen Aigbona, formerly a constable, serving at Police Medical Centre.
If their wife had told them before leaving home that they would return to the house with new ranks, perhaps, they would not have believed, but God used the Inspector General of Police to change their level, which they did not expect in a short while.
The officers were decorated immediately after their promotion was announced by the IGP, during his visit to Akwa Ibom State Command, yesterday.
Also elevated were 11 officers from Sentry Parade, who mounted a guard of honour for the Police High Chief.
They equally had a stroke of luck after Mr. Arase took the salute, which he described as excellent.
The IG described them as good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police, who have distinguished themselves in their course of duties.
He said he has gone to 35 States Command, but has not seen the class of performance displayed by officers from Akwa Ibom, where he left as Commissioner of Police and returned on Wednesday as Inspector General.
Mr. Arase, who described Akwa Ibom as one of the peaceful and safest States in the country, attributed the feat to the rank and file of the Command, for their efforts of providing security to the people.
In an interview with the newly promoted officers, they expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, describing their elevation as a source of encouragement and motivation for more work.
They said that they would never forget Wednesday, 13th April, 2016, when they had the opportunity of having a handshake with the number one police officer in Nigeria, and decorated by him, for the first time since they joined the Force many years ago.
