… Budget N1billion, To Present Gov Udom Gold Gift Worth N100m
In the face of dwindling economic fortunes and paltry allocation from the Federal Government, an outrageous amount of N1billion (one Billion Naira Only) has been budgeted for the Uyo Senatorial District reception in honour of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
In a bid to give GovernorUdom Emmanuel the “best reception,” an outrageous amount has been expended on the grand reception.
A meeting of top Uyo Senatorial District politicians was convened at the instance of the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Akan Okon, who is also warming up to succeed the Governor in 2019, and deliberations were made on how to execute what they called “mother of all receptions for His Excellency.”
The meeting which took place some days ago was held at the palatial residence of Mr. Akan Okon and had in attendance serving Commissioners, Special Advisers, Special Assistants, Caretaker Chairmen of Councils, and other political bigwigs from Uyo Senatorial District. (Culled from TheMail)
