UWEM UDOMA DISCLAIMS ALLEGED RANCOUR WITH AKPABIO

Special Assistant on Political Affairs to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and former aspirant to the Abak Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr Uwem Udoma, has distant self from alleged rancor with Senator Godswill Akpabio.
The disclamation came on the heels of his reply to piece captioned, “Former Deputy Speaker, Uwem Udoma warns Senator Godswill Akpabio to steer clear from Abak Federal Constituency Politics.”

Dr Udoma said “My attention has been drawn to a mischievous news item with the above news caption allegedly written by one Nnamso Udo, possibly a ghost/paid writer whose aim is to cause enemity between me, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio and my constituents. In the said write up meant to among others cause disaffection and bad blood between me and Senator Akpabio, the imaginary writer, Nnamso Udo, among other tissues of lies that exist only in the figment of his/her imagination said “Mr Uwem Udoma has however promised to fight the Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State to the last drop of his blood”. There is however, no iota of truth in the above assertion.”

“While I may have reservation over the handling of the October 5, 2018 primary as it concerns who the party wants as the flagbearer for Abak, Etim Ekpo, Ika federal constituency, I trust in the ability of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to resolve all outstanding issues to the satisfaction of all the parties concerned. I hereby urge the public to disregard in its entirety, the above malicious, mischievous and misleading story as I never insulted or cause anyone to insult Senator Akpabio. I am currently serving as Special Assistant, SA, Political Affairs to His Excellency, Obong (Dr) Nsima Ekere, Managing Director, NDDC, and my boss has a cordial working relationship with Senator Akpabio, therefore, I could not have related otherwise with Akpabio,” he explained.

He concluded by saying, “May I also use this medium to call on all my supporters to remain calm and law abiding and await the final decision of the National Working Committee, NWC of the party on who flies the APC flag as the party’s candidate for Abak, Etim Ekpo, Ika federal constituency come 2019. I remain optimistic that the party will take a decision that is fair and in consonance with the tenets of justice, equity and fairness on the issue.”
