Uruan Nation is happy to host the Isolation Centre – Okon Okon


The Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Board, Mr Okon Okon has registered the joy of the people of Uruan Local Government over the sitting of the Isolation Centre in the Council area.

Mr Okon, a prominent indigene of Uruan, made the the disclosure in a chat with newsmen when he paid am unscheduled visit to see for himself, the rate of work done on the project.

He commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for siting the almost completed Isolation Centre in Uruan, maintaining that, the Smart Mefical Facility will not only add value and create opportunities in the Local Government Area, but will ease pressure on the regular primary and secondary healthcare facilities in the State.

Mr Okon lauded the Works Commissioner, Mr Ephraim Inyangeyen for his meticulous supervision of the project, explaining that, the quality of work achieved within 27 days from the inception of the project is simply amazing, and a proof of commitment to interpreting the vision of Governor Emmanuel.

He argued that, other states will be challenged to borrow a leaf from the proactive measures of the governor in approaching the battle to contain and defeat the dreaded Corona Virus which has afflicted the entire nations of the world.
