“Some are born great, some achieve greatness while others have greatness thrust upon them” This statement by William Shakespeare held sway for the International President Akwa Ibom Consolidated Alliance (ACA), Christ Ambassador (Dr) Andrew Uwanta, who marked his 60th Birthday amidst glitz and glamour.

The occasion which started with a thanksgiving service at the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Four Towns Cathedral, Olusegun Obasanjo Way Uyo, climaxed in a reception held at Emerald Event Centre, Edet Akpan Avenue, where family members, political stalwart, top government functionaries, Business mogul, members of Akwa Ibom Consolidated Alliance (ACA) and people from all walks of life gathered to wine, dine and reflected on the life of fulfillment lived by the celebrator.

At the event, Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel, who was the Special guest of honour congratulated Dr Andrew Uwanta for making it to sixty, full of life and vigour attributing his youthful and charming look to God’s benevolence.

Governor Emmanuel spoke glowingly of Dr Uwanta who is also the Chairman House of Assembly Service Commission, as a man of impeccable character with high sense of patriotism.

He noted with pride that Dr Uwanta exhibited this trait in his coordination of Akwa Ibom Consolidated Alliance (ACA), an umbrella group for Socio – political organizations which campaigned for his emergence as governor during the last election.

His words: “Let me also thank you for your sense of responsibility and show of leadership. You provided leadership in the groups even when there was communication gap. You accommodated all the groups numbering about 460 under ACA which you moulded as a family and we are very thankful in the way you handled the groups.”

He described him as a contented and spirit- filled personality who is committed to the success of the administration and commended his patriotic zeal saying that he used his personal resources to campaign and thanked him for the gesture.

“I must say this in the public; you are not a greedy man. You are a well contented man. I’ve not seen somebody at your level who works so hard. If there’s anything one would say about you, I stand here to boldly say that you are not a greedy man,” Governor Emmanuel stated.

The Governor added that his leadership prowess and devotion to his faith culminated in his elevation as Bishop and Chancellor of Christ Ambassadors in the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, congratulated him on the elevation and donated an SUV to commemorate the Anniversary.

“You campaigned and you were leading a whole lot of groups and used your resources. Today I have the mandate of the people that you worked for to, within a week, deliver to you a 4 – Wheel Drive to mark your birthday. ”

Earlier, Dr Uwanta expressed appreciation to God for the gift of life having lived to celebrate his 60th Birthday and assured the Governor of his unwavering support for his re-election for the second tenure in office.

Dr Uwanta thanked the people for identifying with him on his 60th birthday and pledged to sustain the confidence repose in him by the people.

The Chairman on the occasion Sir Emem Akpabio, congratulated the celebrator and expressed delight in the exemplary conduct of Dr Uwanta, qq wishing him fruitful years of existence.

Highpoint of the occasion which featured cutting of the birthday cake by Dr Uwanta assisted by his Wife and family members was the presentation of the celebrator’s auto-biography captured in a book “The Magnificent Footprints.”
