TIMBER MARKET UTU EDEM USUNG GETS NEW MANAGEMENT

A new management committee to oversee the affairs of the timber market, Utu Edem Usung in Ikot Ekpene LGA has been inaugurated.
This follows a peaceful resolution of dispute that existed between the two patties in the market.
The new management was inaugurated last Thursday by the Ikot Ekpene Council Chairman, Obong(Hon.) Unyime Etim at the council secretariat, Library Avenue, Ikot Ekpene
The Council Chairman, represented by his Vice,Hon. Precious Udo explained that the new management of the timber market was constituted to last for two years during which it will bring an end to the problems experienced at the market and the communities.
Mr. Etim noted that with the peaceful resolution and constitution of the body,the timber market will be stable to contribute to the development of the area and tasked the committee to work at generating revenue to the council in order to add value to the people.
He called on those doing business at the timber market to cooperate with the management committee and conform to its policies  to help bring development to the Local Government Area .

Itoro Usua Ukpong -Treasurer
Emmanuel Okon Okono -Financial Secretary
Nsikak Godswill Akpan -PRO
Amos Jackson Udo- Ex Officio
Clement Akpan Umo -Adviser1, Chief Sylvanus Okodi -Adviser2
Udeme Akpan Udokang -Ex Officio
Mfonobong Udo Akpan Ex Officio and
Pastor Udeme Joseph -Welfare Officer.
In his response, the chairman of the committee, Mr Etifiok Sam pledged to operate with transparency and promised to work to bring progress to the market and Ikot Ekpene LGA at large
