TAKE A TIME, THINK AND PONDER

As we move into the critical phase of next national elections, the wolves and hyenas and jackals of politics will veer into the political space. But watch! And be eternally vigilant. For these, think only of one thing: how to satisfy their base instincts – survival.
The wolves and hyenas and jackals of politics do not think of justice. They do not think of equity. They can never think of the right of others to also be; because to them, all is fair in war. And because they believe in the state of war, they prey on the rights of others to survive.
Whether on the drift or stationary, these predators covet everywhere; convert all situations into opportunities; upset everything and exploit every opening to suit their interest and sole advantage. They just about don’t care for anyone.
Typical of all politicians, the hawks of our political space think only of the next elections. They don’t think of the people; and never of the rights of others existing within our Commonwealth.
These give no thought to shared values; or the collective responsibility for the preservation or respect of the dignity of others to fair and equal participation. The wolves and hyenas and jackals of politics think only of themselves, the next election and surviving by all means within the power system.
At times, the wolves and hyenas and jackals of politics do more than bid for survival – they move to capture and usurp territories, simply as an instinct of self-preservation.
And when they court familiarity or exhibit charity, they don’t do it to portray a virtue, but a means to expand and expound on enlightened self-interest. Its purpose is self-serving. Its aim, very misleading!
Now, being aware of the true nature of the wolves and hyenas and jackals of power, their weaknesses are all self-evident. So take time and think and ponder; for the elections are here again.
True leaders are not cast like hawks in perpetual flights in search of appeasements and power. True leaders think about the people. They think about justice. They think about the rights of others to share, participate and contribute to growing the system and building the people.
They think about service. True leaders think about examples. They think about legacies, and the dignity and pride of fellowman.
Yes! The true leader thinks decent and above self; shunning the lure of filthy lucre. He thinks of taking the people to a future; and of every opportunity as offering a plank to achieving universal goals. Articulately, a true leader builds and feeds the flame of hope in the people.
And while the wolves and hyenas and jackals of politics think of survival and self, the true leader thinks of a social system, where to everyone, a sense of duty predicates him to work for the greatest benefit and common good of all.
So as the elections draw near with party primaries to select a true representative for Uyo Senatorial District (USD), think in the direction of justice, equity, service and good leadership to the people. Think sensible in supporting Uyo Federal Constituency (UFC) to offer all of these and with her best choice to be elected into the Nigeria senate.
Think of the right Inspiration, the needed Development and the Empowerment of all through a selfless and engaging representation. Think IDE.
He will Inspire, he will Develop, he will Empower every interest within the Commonwealth; and also preserve the UFC pride for sakes of furthering and meeting our future goals.
Think with a leader who inspires hope. Join with the people. Think UFC and make our people become very strong again.
