QUA IBOE CHURCH ORDAINS AKWAPOLY RECTOR AS ELDER

The Rector of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Dr. Israel Benson Affia was last Sunday ordained an Elder of Qua Iboe Church of Nigeria at a well attended ceremony that took place at Qua Iboe Church, Ikot Edet in Ibio Nnung Achat Superintendency, Etim Ekpo Area Conference.
At the church service that attracted friends, associates and colleagues of Dr. Affia across the country, the General Superintendent of Qua Iboe Church of Nigeria, Reverend Ekpedeme Moffat Efanga who handled the ordination ceremony with the support of other members of the clergy charged the newly ordained Elders of the church to count themselves privileged to be identified, selected and ordained as vital labourers in the vineyard of God, he urged them to live exemplary lives and maintain the doctrines and practice of Qua Iboe Church of Nigeria.
In his response, the newly ordained Elder Affia, who holds a Doctorate Degree in Laws, appreciated the Almighty God who deemed him fit to be selected for such a calling. He assured the Church that he will be dedicated and committed to his calling and service in the vineyard of the Lord.
Dignitaries who witnessed the event included the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Moses Ekpo, Dr. Paul Udofia, Commissioner for Education, Pastor Andrew Essien, State Account General, Dr. Valarie Obot, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Akon Eyakenyi who led the Polytechnics council members, Mr. Don Ikpe, Deputy Rector who led the management team of the institution, Senator Anietie Okon, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien, Dr. Christie Atako, a former Managing Director of NDDC, Mr. Uduak Obot, Zonal Coordinator at Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board, Barr. Eno Obong Akpan, Chairman NBA, Uyo branch, Chief A. S. Akpan ( APEX), the political leader of Etim Ekpo.
Others were Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, Obong Eno Akpan, former Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Udeme Eduo, Caretaker Committee of Etim Ekpo, Hon. Udout Jack, a former Chairman of Etim Ekpo, Barr. Emmanuel Umana, Commissioner at the state’s Law Reforms Commission, Dr. Imo Udofa, Vice Dean of Uniuyo’s Faculty of Law, Bishop Otoabasi Asuquo of Full Gospel Assembly and Bishop Sunday Uwa of Zion Deliverance Ministry, among others.
