President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Abdullahi Suleiman Ango as the Mandate Secretary for the newly established Youth Development Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The appointment marks a significant milestone in the administration’s ongoing efforts to prioritize youth development and empowerment in Abuja.
The Youth Development Secretariat will be a robust administrative structure to coordinate youth-related matters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Secretariat will also serve as a veritable platform for implementing youth policies and programs and training for skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
Before his appointment, Ango was FCT Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria from 2018 till date; Member of the Presidential Grassroots Independent Campaign Council; Director of the Directorate of Youth and Mobilization, FCT Senatorial Elections; Publicity Secretary, Arewa Youths for Tinubu/Shettima and member, FCT Universal Basic Education Board, 2023.
He hails from Kuje in the FCT and is a holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.
He also holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the Nasarawa State University and currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Nasarawa State University.
