It was pomp, pageantry and celebration as President of the Legislators’ Wives Association (LEWA) and wife of the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mrs. Itohowo Aniekan Bassey, led members of the association to Uyo Township Stadium to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day anniversary.
Adorned with elegance and splendid colours that reflect the country’s official colours, Mrs. Bassey, a true believer of Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel’s pet project, FEYReP (Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Programme), resonated smiles, joy, happiness and vigour in her members.
