PDP WARD CONGRESSES MOVE TO APRIL 30 – METUH

PDPThe National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday announced the adjustment of the timetable for its congresses.
Notice of the adjustment was contained in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in Abuja.
According to the statement, the PDP national convention would still hold on May 21, while ward congress would now hold April 30, instead of 23, earlier announced. The appeal on ward congress is scheduled for May 2.
The adjusted timetable also shows Local Government Congresses will hold on May 5, while appeal from the congresses would hold on May 7. The party also fixed its state congresses for May 10, while appeal from the congresses is billed for May 12.
Zonal congresses, according to the adjusted timetable, are fixed for May 14, while zonal appeal will hold on May 17. The statement added that the new timetable supersedes the former.
