On the heels of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s overwhelming victory at the Governorship elections, stakeholders, elders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibeno Local Government Area, on Tuesday held a victory walk from the Ulok Ulok Hall ground through villages in Upenekang, Okoroutip, Iwuoachang, Mkpanak, and terminated at the foremost Ibeno Beach in Inuaeyet Ikot.

The Local Government Council Chairman, Pastor Ifum Henry, flanked by the Chapter Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Emah Ibok, and Special Assistant to the Governor of Project Monitoring, Hon. Ekoakwaha Etteh, led a team of stakeholders, Councillors and Supervisors, party faithful, youths, and women and socio-political groups who sang and danced in open roof vehicles moving from village to village in the area.

The colourful rally train acknowledged cheers from an exuberant crowd that lined the length of the streets as it moved.

Some of the elders and stakeholders who were present and represented included former Leader of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh; immediate past Transition Chairman of the Local Government Council, Chief William Mkpan, Mr. Samuel Ekpenyong; Hon. Samuel Ulaeto, among others.
