Ahead of the forthcoming elective National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), erstwhile Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Investments, Commerce and Industry, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, is set to emerge the next National Legal Adviser of the Party.

This follows the open endorsement and proclamation made by the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel while receiving over 10,000  youths of Eket Senatorial District, who marched to show support to him in at Government House in Uyo.

Mr Emmanuel, who is the leader of the party in the state, announced that it was the wish of the party in the state to present Barr. Enoidem and assured that he will be the next Legal Adviser of the National Working Committee of the PDP.

Governor Emmanuel told his kinsmen that he felt obliged to show them his candidate for the position of national legal adviser of the party before going to the polls, and solicited for their support to the project.

Governor Emmanuel had received affirmative response when he asked the youths rhetorically, “Do you know him, do you want him, should we send him?”

The position of Legal Adviser has been zoned by the PDP to favour Akwa Ibom State,  and the pronouncement has put to rest, speculations on who should be the unanimous candidate fielded by the state contingent to the PDP convention which holds in December, 2017.

Barr. Enoidem, 53 has a vast wealth of experience in politics and public service.

He has served as Chairman of Etim Ekpo Local Government, State Treasurer of the PDP as well as member of the State Executive Council who superintended three different ministries for nine consecutive years.

Before venturing into politics, he had been a practiced law and also taught at the University of Uyo.
