The Paramount Ruler of Etinan Local Government Area, Edidem A. M. Akpanobong, has expressed gratitude to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umoh Eno, for successfully installing him as the 3rd Paramount Ruler of Etinan LGA in an event he described as very colorful and historic.
The newly installed Paramount Ruler made this known at his Palace in Nkana-Iman Village immediately after his swearing-in and presentation of staff of office at Akwa Ibom State Traditional Rulers Council located at Barrack Road Uyo on Saturday 23rd September, 2023.
Edidem Akpanobong said the Governor’s decision to install him as the Paramount Ruler of Etinan speaks volumes of his commitment to ensuring the development of all parts of the states as effective traditional leadership at the local government tier is key to sustainable development in rural areas of the state.
Edidem Akpanobong described Governor Eno as a leader who means business in his agenda to develop the state through the unique implementation of his developmental plan tagged “ the ARISE agenda” as witness in his performance in his first hundred days in office.
The newly installed Paramount Ruler of Etinan promised to align his plans, programmes and projects, as the chief custodian of the traditional stool in Etinan local government area, to the Governor’s developmental agenda to ensure that his local government area, particularly the rural areas, benefit from the development driven by Governor Umo Eno-led administration.
Edidem Akpanobong expressed confident that the governor will deliver his promises to the state and prayed God to grant Governor Umo Eno good health and wisdom as he leads the state to greatness.
Edidem Akpanobong also expressed sincere gratitude to the member representing Etinan/Nsit Ubium/Nsit Ibom Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Obong Paul Ekpo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong, and the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Council, Hon. Cletus Ekpo, for their support which saw to his emergence and installation as the 3rd Paramount Ruler of Etinan.
He also expressed appreciation to Obong Isatim Kenneth Okon, the political leader of Etinan L.G.A, Otuekong Sunny Jackson Udoh, a foremost leader in Etinan L.G.A and Dr. Asukpo Essien-Ibok, Akwa Afaha Iman Ibom.
Furthermore Edidem Akpanobong thanked the Village Heads and the good people of Etinan for turning out en-mass for his installation describing the show of love as the birth of a new chapter of peace, progress and prosperity in the local government area.
Edidem Akpanobong called on all Etinan sons and daughter to support the Traditional Ruler’s Council of Etinan Local Government Area under his leadership and the government of Pastor Umo Eno for the sustainability of peace and progress witnessed in the state.
Edidem Akpanobong also used the opportunity to congratulate the president general of Akwa Ibom state supreme council of traditional rulers, the Oku Ibom Ibibio, Ntenyin Solomon Etuk, on his swearing in and presentation of staff of office as the President General of the Akwa Ibom Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers and prayed him a peaceful reign.
