Four men of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Nigeria Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have died after they were hit by a motorist in Zamfara state.
Three of deceased were noted to be FRSC men and one personal of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
Mrs Mary Wakawa, the Zonal Commanding Officer of Zone RS 10 Sokoto, disclosed earlier today that the officers were part of a mobile court sitting along the Sokoto-Gusau highway as at the time of the incident.
She said the late FRSC officials are Bello Lawal, Bello Abdullahi and Bashiru Ango,while the deceased NSCDC official is Bashir Yakubu.
Two others also involved in the accident that survived are Sgt. Haruna Ilyasu of the Police department and Abubakar Sodangi of the FRSC.
She decried the attitude of some motorists towards disobedience of traffic rules and regulations.
The Zonal commanding officer stressed the need for collective efforts towards ensuring safety on the roads.
