The job and wealth creation programme of the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration has yet been acknowledged by the people of Mbiabam Ibiono in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State as 10 youths of the area will be equipped to be productive and self-reliance through skills acquisition.

Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Engr. Uwem Udoka, who made this known on Monday during the formal presentation of the PDP Councillorship candidate of Ward-5 to Mbiabam Clan Council, announced that he will sponsor the training of over 10 youths of the area in Welding and Fabrication, Painting, Carpentry and other skills acquisition programmes

The Governor’s aide assured the people that he would continue to support and empower youths of the area through skills acquisition programme and appealed to the people to embrace and encourage the Udom Emmanuel’s administration beyond 2019 for more dividends of democracy.

Engr. Udoka urged the people of the area to go out in their numbers and vote for the Councillorship and Chairmanship candidates of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election.

In his remarks, President of Ibiono Ibom Southern Youth Association, Prince Inem Thomas, thanked Engr. Udoka for his show of love and for ensuring that harmony, peace and unity thrive in the area.

He lauded the Governor’s aide for contributing to the completion of Mbiabam Civic Centre, adding “as one of the biggest villages in Ibiono Ibom, we are committed to the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel and we will ensure that he returns to the Hilltop Masion in 2019.”

Responding, the Village Head of Mbiabam, Eteidung Jimmy Uwah, assured the Governor’s aide of their full participation in the forthcoming local government Council election, maintaining that “the entire people of the area were committed to the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel and as such not even one vote will leave the PDP to another party.”

Highpoint of the event was a grand reception for the campaign team and the entire village council by Engr. Udoka in his country home, No. 6 FULGA Avenue, Mbiabam.
