GOV UDOM DISSOLVES LOCAL GOVERNMENT TRANSITION COMMITTEES

UDOM EMMAN
Governor Udom Emmanuel has dissolved the Transition Committees in the 31 Local Government Councils of Akwa Ibom State.
The dissolution, which was made known through a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Sir Etekamba Umoren, was done in pursuant of the Local Government Administration Amendment Law 2016, passed by the State House of Assembly recently.
Governor Emmanuel, through the statement, directed Chairmen and members of the Transition Committees to hand over to the Head of Service of their respective Local Government Councils on Friday, the 1st day of July 2016.
While wishing members of the Transition Committees well in their future endeavour, the Governor, through the statement, further thanked them for their service to the state.
