FRAUD ALERT: BAFIL DECLARES HIMSELF WINNER OF UYO SENATORIAL DISTRICT PRIMARY

Elder Bassey Etim popularly known with his business name BAFIL has announced himself winner of the Uyo senatorial district primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Etim was not cleared to contest the Uyo senatorial district primary of the party by the National Working Committee.
A national officer of the party who gave reasons why the Uruan born petroleum magnet was not cleared said the screening committee observed an alteration on his NYSC exemption letter as well as his failure to apply for a waiver.
Etim joined the party less than six months ago and was expected to have applied for a waiver as a prerequisite to qualify him to contest.
Yesterday, in a paid story, Etim claimed that he was cleared by the national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and that he won the primary in seven out of the nine local government areas in Uyo senatorial district.
Investigations show that Bassey Etim till this moment has not been cleared by the Senator Ken Nnamani led screening committee nor the NWC of the party which has the final decision to clear aspirants for the primary.
It was also learnt that the APC did not conduct an open primary for the Uyo senatorial seat after it was discovered that the consensus candidate which elders of the party in the senatorial district chose, Dr. Emaeyak Ukpong, was not cleared.
Three persons who were cleared for the mock election are Obong Kufreabasi Etuk, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Etim Ekpenyong (TEMPO) and Bishop Ekpe James.
It was further gathered that stakeholders of the party in Uyo senatorial district who were meant on a consensus arrangement have made frantic effort to get their consensus candidate cleared since Tuesday, hence primary for the position has not been conducted.
In the paid report, Elder Etim, he claimed that the primary was conducted on Thursday. He has not shown graphic evidence of when the exercise was conducted.
None of the three aspirants who were cleared for the exercise said the senatorial primary was conducted as claimed by Elder Bassey Etim.
It would be recalled that Etim declared himself winner of the Uyo senatorial district primary of the PDP in 2014 even when all evidences shown that he did not participate in the primary.
