FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON GETS DEDICATED POWER LINE

 

Akwa Ibom State Government has just announced the connection of Four-Point By Sheraton, a primary requirement by the Marriott’s Group for the running of luxury facility.

Commissioner for Special Duties and Aviation Development, Mr. Akan Okon, made this known in Ikot Ekpene after inspecting the installations of the dedicated power line and other facilities of the hotel.

 

Mr. Okon expressed satisfaction at the quality of the power installations both at the premises of the Hotel and at the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) power Sub-station in the area, stressing that “what is left is the official switch on.”

 

The Commissioner said the timely completion of that phase of the project by the contractors will greatly enhance the actualization of the vision of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration on the project, which is for the hotel to commence operations.

 

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Power, Engr. Meyene Etukudoh, who supervised the installations of the power supply project, said the imperative of connecting such a facility to the national grid despite the installations of sophisticated power generating sets as backups, will tremendously countdown on the cost of its operations and enhance the delivery of clean energy devoid of pollution.

 

The consultant, DRANIBS Engineering Nigeria Limited, Engr. Sunday I. Umoh, expressed gratitude to the state government for according the facility the priority it deserves.

 

Accompanied in the inspection were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Special Duties and Aviation Development, Engr. Richard Ekpe and Heads of different Directorates.
